Successfully, our Centre completed the first of a workshop series "Study skills & Organization" in the 7th public primary school of Kalamata, on April 13th, 2016.
Mr. Chrysos [teacher-psychoeducator (BA, M Ed., Ph.D)] made interesting comments about daily homework obstacles and school knowledge acquisition, issues that really concern all families. An intense debate followed upon:
-
How necessary is additional school work at home?
-
How could children study efficiently, productively and intelligently, thereby saving free time?
-
Are all children able to acquire appropriate study skills?
-
What kind of strategies could help children acquire appropriate study skills?
Mr. Chrysos suggested good practices regarding the study space arrangments, the time management, the adoption of good study habits and the significance of early children self-regulation in their homework.
